Hop on the merino wool

Blog
17.01.2024

Your girlfriends are talking about it, it's popping up on social media, even the sparrows on the roof are chirping about it. Merino. You've heard it's a wool, amazing and miraculous. But what makes it so special that everyone loves it? Read on and see for yourself. And then maybe one day you'll see for yourself.

MERINO SHEEP, HOW DO YOU DO?

I am a sheep and I come from the Merino species. It is a species that is used to living in extreme conditions. I can survive heat and even severe frosts are no problem for me. Do you know why? Yes, it's because of my unique super wool, which I have honed to perfection over many years. It has amazing thermo-regulating properties, it is soft, breathable and lightweight. Merino wool differs from regular wool in particular in that it is ultra soft. (One fibre of this wool is as thick as a third of a human hair.) Therefore, your children will not complain about merino clothing "biting" them.

NEITHER HOT NOR COLD

That's exactly what we all love about merino wool. When we wrap ourselves or our children in this wool, we can count on feeling comfortable. Whatever the weather and whatever the temperature. Warm in winter, cool in summer. It effectively wicks moisture away from your body so you don't sweat it out, your skin can breathe happily and you stay dry. That's why merino is a popular material for functional clothing, underwear and children's clothing (sleeping bags in particular). In addition, merino is hypoallergenic and antibacterial, so you don't have to worry about using it for direct skin contact, in fact, we recommend it.
