How to choose the right sleeping bag size for your baby?

What else should you consider when choosing?

There are always exceptions. Just as adults don't always buy the same clothing size, it is good to consider the following factors for children as well:

• Predisposition to be taller:
  If your baby has a predisposition to be taller after you, the parents, and you are hesitant about the size, it is completely fine to choose a larger size. 

• For newborns and the youngest babies:
  For newborns, we recommend the Newborn sleeping bag. If you are buying a sleeping bag within the baby's first year of life, always choose size S – even if you feel your baby is growing too fast. While babies up to about 6 months old gain weight and grow rapidly, the growth slows down significantly later on.

• The sleeping bag should be roomier:
  Some mothers prefer a size that fits "just right" and are later surprised when the sleeping bag is a bit larger on the child. However, this is not an issue at all! The sleeping bag is supposed to be bigger because it replaces a blanket. We adults also use two-meter blankets, and we aren't all the same height. The only important thing is that the baby's feet do not pull inside the bag. If the cuffs fit your child well, you have the right size.
