What is the difference between a winter and an all-season sleeping bag?
The main difference between a year-round and winter sleeping bag is the composition of the outer material, which insulates and also protects the merino lining.
- The all-season sleeping bag has a cotton layer made of organic cotton.
- Winter sleeping bags have a thicker functional top layer composed of organic cotton, bamboo and hemp/flax.
When choosing, therefore, take into account where you live, the temperature in your room, and your baby's personality.
If you live in an apartment building, we recommend a year-round sleeping bag, as there is a high probability that you have well-heated walls and central heating. You can also customize a year-round sleeping bag by layering it. This means that you can put a tank top, thicker pajamas, or socks (preferably made of 100% merino wool) under the bag.
A winter sleeping bag, on the other hand, is suitable for a baby with chills, or if you live in a house where it is colder in the winter. Winter sleeping bags provide extra comfort, but the baby will not overheat.
