Nidū is a functional weighted blanket that works on the basis of deep pressure stimulation.
The weight in the Nidū blanket is evenly distributed over the entire size of the blanket through a large number of glass beads. Thanks to this, Nidū acts on the entire body - muscles, bones and tendons - with even pressure, which stimulates the human nervous system, to which the brain responds by increasing the production of the neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine - the so-called happiness hormones.
It's not a miracle, it's chemistry.
Increased production of the so-called happiness hormones in the body suppresses anxiety, helps you fall asleep faster and sleep better, improves concentration and calms the body even in common stressful situations during the day. And last but not least, they contribute to faster muscle regeneration after exercise.
Weighted blankets are useful not only in stabilizing sleep, but also in regulating negative behavior in patients with certain mental health disorders. They alleviate symptoms and various negative conditions, including anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, restless legs syndrome, autism, hyperactivity, and attention deficit disorders. They also help muscle regeneration after sports performance.
